I’ve spoken extensively with many people from mainland China and Japan and their racism mostly stems from fear. They always say it isn’t that that they dislike black people, they’re just “scared” of them. Newer generations are getting better at handling this tho so we should see improvement 50 years down the line.

The consuming media excuse is a way to pass the buck of responsibility.
And that's in general, not with just Asian cultures.

Firstly, there isn't any "who was racist" first game. Asians intiated racism against black people.
Secondly, their racism is much more insidious than just fear. And even if they just had a fear of black people. that still negatively influences our community and fuels the racism that we experience from them today.
