I mean tbh Jay & Ye dont directly diss anyone either on record but everyone still manages to know what going on. Jay sat Drake ass down with We Made It freestyle & we all knew who he was talking about

& common diss was always respected from most

Just sayin, for someone of Drakes stature you gotta give him props for never backing down at the bare minimum

Jay openly dissed Prodigy, Nas, Dipset, 50 Cent off the top of my head. Ye don't diss but we all knew that.

And Drake's not the only one at his stature to not back down or diss people. Prime 50 had movie deals, video game deals, and endorsements and was still calling Ja Rule p****. It just is what it is

also 50 was never seen as a pop artist the same as Drake in his prime tbh his image simply didnt allow it

I mean we can go round and round on this but I can see why you feel the way you do. I just think a dude who makes songs like Hotline Bling actually putting in some work is surprising when you think about it

50 was seen as a pop star if you think about it cuz a bulk of Jada and them's diss songs to him were about him making love songs even though he was supposed to be a gangsta rapper.

and dude GRODT & Massacre's numbers were INSANEEEE

and as far as Jay goes I don't think anyone's openly dissed him in a while like the rappers I mentioned

50 & Drake have similarities but what separates the two will and always will be street cred.

50 may have made songs for the women but he also always had the shot 9 times story to back him in the eyes of the general public for better or worse. image has a lot to do with it so when 50 did a diss track it made sense, for Drake not so much at times cause how he portrays himself

Also that's why it was interesting to see Drake & Jay have some conflict cause it's been awhile since anyone came at Jay in any way. And again, out of all people its interesting it would be Drake
