I think most people from other parts of the world are not so arrogant to think their beliefs override the country they’re in. If someone is to travel into Mexico City, they don’t just roam around wherever. They research and find out what’s safe to do and where to go. Americans and the west have this super weird mentality where they think the world is supposed to kiss their ass.

    So you hate gay people

    The world

Humans are inherently biased creatures. You act like as if the West is morally just when that’s laughable false. They’re just as manipulative and corrupt in a lot of ways. Just because america finally legalized gay marriage 10 years ago doesn’t give Americans the right to act like they’re superior to the rest of the world that hasn’t progressed socially to that point yet.

This is why nobody likes white liberals. They’ll be ignorant to something for decades and as soon as they’re convinced it’s right, they act like they’re so brave and the rest of the world needs to grow up like them. You have Hillary Clinton in less than a 10 year gap change her stance on gay marriage and had so much conviction each time she talked about it. This why nobody likes her or people like her

humans being inherently biased doesn’t justify rules and laws that directly impede and harm other people’s quality of life, you’re making a naturalist fallacy, i didn’t imply the West is the way that the world at large should take at all

i think it’s pretty common sense that people should not be getting harmed and put to death for something as trivial as sexual preference, let alone for literally wearing a shirt and coming into a country who holds different ideals than where you may stem from—just because it took the world a bit of time to treat people with dignity and respect doesn’t mean it’s chaff

homosexuality and homoeroticism etc. is literally something that has been around since the dawn of man, it’s condemnation is based upon faulty interpretations of nature and how it’s supposed to be and the twisting of religious ideals + scripture

All I’m saying is that I don’t think you’re in a position to talk or judge when you’re in a country where police will gun down unarmed people because of them being a perceived threat based on their skin color. Also gay people have been treated like dirt by the world. Just because the US has been a little better to them in the last 10-15 years doesn’t mean that we have a right to tell other countries to progress like us. Change has to come from within.

You have a choice to go to somebody’s country and if you do, you should respect their laws because you’re a visitor

…what does the first of what you said have anything to do with what i said?

you point out my country killing black people as a reason for why i can’t advocate for LGBT+ rights across the board? that doesn’t even make sense

again, i am not saying that countries should take the Western model of morality and use it as theirs, im saying that the raw idea within itself, of allowing people to prefer what s***they want is a basic human right, and it’s pretty stupid it’s something that it’s even something that’s up for debate or argument

regardless, my whole point is coming into threads like these and arguing for the other side based on their framework of rules and morality doesn’t make you objective or rational, you’re simply allowing people to commit atrocities under the guise of “well that’s just the way it is over there” which is a lot more harmful than advocating for basic human rights as far as im concerned

i would hope so on a regular trip somewhere but the whole world is watching at an international hosted event, where there’s already media attention on these things. That event is not a religious one, and he not on a vacation just roaming with his lady or whatever lol

Of course not, but people shouldn't be trying to judge a country they don't even live in. Protest for your society to be better.
