I’ve seen a lot of talk comparing Mac Miller and Beastie Boys to frat rap which is true, Beastie Boys practically created that lane
But the difference is, in the time LTI and Paul Revere dropped, Mac evolved his sound past the frat rap sound, which his earlier work definitely was frat rap. Beastie Boys only change with the sound of the time and never had a huge thematical change
