Prior to this event, no solar eclipse had been visible across the entirety of the United States since June 8, 1918. 100 years ago. Now just 7 years after the August 2017 total solar eclipse there is another one. April 8th 2024. This one travelling perpendicular to the previous one and forming an X across America.

I see it as being allegorical and something that can be applied to things that have happened and still can happen in the future.

ehhh im more on the side of revelations being allegorical/metaphorical, rather than something that is necessarily coming but i do sort of feel like it speaks about the return of Christ a bit too often for it to be wholly left up to being simply a metaphor to an extent

Christian eschatology is very fascinating, but i think Revelations in particular can sort of illustrate the entire literalist vs contextualist divide within it fairly well, i think it’s fairly transparent that it isn’t necessarily to be taken literal 1000%, there is a lot of symbolism, the visions in Revelations are very prominently psychedelic/mystical
