    S*** so dumb lmao

What made it worse was that it wasn’t even for a story purpose like he was from the future or something. Just a gag about electricity being out

    galactus looked great to me

kinda found his purpose funny tbh

bro was just tired of this s*** lmao

reeds cgi was off once or twice

baby cgi was fine, if you notice and nitpick s*** like this i find that crazy

family vibes were great. sometimes there is no dialogue to point to with charachter depth. it just works sometimes and i think it did here

ben’s love interest felt shoehorned in as some sort of anti anti semitism purpose? felt really odd idk that one scene was just really weird

The love interest was definitely shoehorned but showing Ben’s jewish heritage was more so in respect to Jack Kirby. He made it a big part of Ben’s character in the comics because Kirby was also Jewish and connected with Ben as a character the most

Whole movie was a love letter to Kirby. It’s called universe 828 because Jack Kirby’s birthday is 8/28. They even had actors play young version of Stan Lee and Kirby. You could see them in the scene when the Surfer first came to earth

You’re on point about the love interest tho. I said it earlier but I think they were afraid of cutting it cause there was already so little of the Thing in the movie lol

They should just cast her as Alicia Masters in the sequel after the reset

Apparently the character’s name is a nod to Jack Kirby’s wife’s name but yeah they gave her Alicia’s comic look and mentioned Puppet Master’s existence so it’s confusing

The thing just Jewish, I feel like a lot of his material was cut down in general

Nothing as egregious as Captain Israel joining Sam's team in Captain America

I do feel The Thing was underutilized in this movie. Not something that takes me out of the movie, but it's just strange seeing Reed, Sue, and Johnny all doing significant stuff throughout the movie and Ben is really just sorta there. But with a goofy rock beard.

felt like most of his stuff got left on the cutting room floor unfortunately. Specially when he caught up with Natashas character at the end.

we shouldve had 1 or 2 more scenes with them

Definitely feels that way. Wouldn't be surprised either because the movie is pretty short all things considered at only 1hr55min. Not necessarily against that though, was just expecting it to be in 2hr15min - 2hr30min range.

My guess is that having so many Thing scenes would've ran the budget up because it's a lotta CGI work involved in that. I mean you already got Galactus big ass you gotta work on after all lol

This whole argument perfectly sums up who Reed is

VFX cost issues was directly what Shakman said when they asked about a directors cut so you right.

While i like the pace, the length is def one of the biggest complaints im seeing all around the net. Marvel hopefully taking notes too

I been seeing the complaints and while they're valid and I agree with some about things rushed at particular moments, it did feel pretty nice getting a shorter movie that did tell the full story it wanted to without sacrificing important story beats and details.

Wasn't like Captain America Brave New World where it was shorter because they cut out so much s*** and it led to awkward edits and very clear signs of last minute reshoots. I liked Brave New World for what it was, but there was definitely a much better movie at some point.
