I loved the tech of this world

like it’s super advanced but I feel like it was rudimentary to the tech we became so used to in the mainline MCU.

between superhero’s bringing their worlds tech back to the mainline, or just through stark tech and wakandas tech, it felt at times in the mainline that the s*** was TOO advanced.

probably a bad critique but i just have it in my head that after Endgame, the wakanda and stark tech both got out of control with how good it had gotten, and it was overshadowing the actual superpowers that are found across the universe

I'm seeing people complain that Galactus's motivation for wanting Franklin would be unclear to non-comic readers.

I'm a casual comic book fan, but don't know much about the F4. It wasn't clear to me what exactly Galactus would do with Franklin, but I didn't think it mattered. I think it works because the F4 don't know what he's going to do either. So both the characters and the audience are forced to speculate what would happen to the baby if Galactus got him.

That said, can one of you tell me what he actually wanted?

These may seem like nitpicks but these were the biggest things that didn’t quite land for me:

Shalla-Bal sending Galactus back through the portal. Once we got the scene of her and Johnny where it’s revealed that she joined Galactus in order to save her home planet, a redemption of some sort seemed sensible, but it feels like we jumped from point A to C or even D. There just wasn’t enough rapport with the character for me to feel anything substantial when she makes that sacrifice at the end. Needed just a little bit more.

I’m paraphrasing the quote but when Sue comes back to life and says (of Franklin) “he’s not us, he’s more.” The most awkward and clunky line in the script. It undercut the moment, and I don’t think it was delivered particularly well. Sue is dead, Reed places Franklin on Sue, Sue comes back to life. We’re all capable of putting that 2+2 together, just leave it there.

Unfortunate that these two things happen at the end but oh well. Still thought it was great overall.
