I always appreciate hearing these songs in their original form. The sad thing is that Pac was only getting started....

the thing bout Makaveli era and my pops used to talk about this when he was working at an after school program was that he kinda started just talking like a preacher and less of a rapper.

You can tell he cared less about being "on beat" (by choice, cause songs like High Speed showed he can get back in that bag) and more about "I'm gettin out these words TO YOU" with triple, even four takes that if anyone else tried it would sound so messy and disorganized (and this being the OG takes, they woulda definitely edited these tracks in post and some of those takes be lowered in volume) but it kinda really shows the mindset Pac was in during those last months. Frantic but energized.
