went in blind not knowing this was a manga/anime and I was blown away, would highly recommend catching this in theatres with a large crowd as it'd give the feeling of watching a live game
was thinking about watching this in theaters now i might this week
Man slam dunk such a classic anime. Didn't know they were making a movie for the final arc that's wild, been waiting for sum like this for the longest
Can I watch blind? Without watching show
Yeah that’s what I did
How long will this be in theaters
Probably a limited run in North America
I started manga while back got to vol 7. Do I binge read the rest or just go in and watch this

I mean if you can read it, I would do it, just because the Manga will always be the best way to experience the story. But I wouldn’t force myself to binge it either. It’s fine if you watch the movie and finish the Manga at your own pace
Inoue directed this too, that man is an artistic genius
did u watch? just realized this is mostly cgi and you guys s*** on cgi anime all
the time in the anime thread
this the good cgi or the bad kind?

Its mostly very good, of course it looks janky at times, but overall id say its one of the best in anime. Id say the worst part of the movie Is not even the cgi itself, but how it sometimes the movie switches between 2d and 3d animations, although its not too frequent.

just copped tickets
this my first time watching anime in theater since like the pokémon movie that came out 20 years ago
this was pretty good
but ngl wish it was in 2d im just not used to cgi anime (it being cgi did make it feel more like a movie tho for some reason)
also kinda wanna start slam dunk but i tried a couple years ago but couldn’t get past the s***ty/old animation
Haven't seen slam dunk in years years years, whenever they did the lil flashbacks and revealed who homie was, I was like
Also does anyone know the story after this? Why did the MC (not of the movie) have to cut his hair? Also is he okay after the timeskip? And what is the timeskip saying necessarily, that the two PGs from the game both got recruited to American colleges?
Also what are some other GOATed anime films like this? I have always skipped the series movies, cuz I'm always scared of being lost, but tbh I liked the feeling of being thrown right in the middle. All the info was more than conveyed clearly
