For the people who’ve seen it, is the CGI as bad as Quantumania? Is it worse ?

  • Jun 14, 2023

Truly a shame that CGI can be so awful these days.

Nah that's bad considering the budget and marketing. WB was most likely hoping this would be the opening in the US

If we look at the numbers it seems like the general public doesn’t give af about DC besides the Trinity and Joker

    Aquaman’s an anomaly

For worldwide numbers, that’s not good at all for this type of film

To put it in perspective, GOTG 3 worldwide opening was $280 million. The Batman opened with $250 million

Dceu hasn't had a huge hit since then tbqh all those movies since have dissapointed or flopped

First Shazam made a lil money but not much

Birds of prey did OK but lost money, the suicide squad was a huge flop

    Wonderwoman 2 got covided

    Shazam 2 biggest flop yet

I'd be shocked if aquaman 2 was a hit tbqh

Blue beetle is a bomb waiting to happen, just looks like Shazam mixed with antman

Gunn got alot of work to do

Aquaman won because of the Christmas push, also had little to zero competition. Bumblebee was the only crossover audience but that did lower than expected because of the transformers brand faltering. It also helped that it was an appealing blockbuster with a fun vibrant feel that played more like a marvel film then DC. I’m not so sure Aquaman 2 will have the same strength since it’s facing more tough competition this Christmas as well as the dc brand being in the ground. Also if the test screenings are true then even the casual audiences are heavily going to dislike that movie

I truly think that the 2 year break (not counting Joker 2) and “reboot” is going to help Superman so long as it’s good

I feel like WB would completely scrap Aquaman 2 if they could, it seems like no one over at DC or WB gives a single f*** about that movie

It’s shaping up to be a dark Phoenix level flop for the dceu. It will release to atrocious reviews and audiences will barely care by that point because they know there’s no future. Come comic con more people will know dc has a future without these current characters so what’s the point

The last remaining stale leftovers in the DC fridge Gunn gotta reheat with some sprinkled cheese on top before he gets to finally cook up a fresh new meal

DC really fumbled by pushing these movies back so many times, it cost them money and just set them up to be lame duck leftovers with no future, dead on arrival

Slate coulda been clean by now and them movies woulda had a much better chance of making money back in 2021, wouldn't have wasted the money on reshoots either

It’s what happens when they’re so indecisive about their future, one second they’re building up Keaton as the new Batman and having batwoman. Next they wanna do crisis. Now this movie just sort of ends, no resolve for the universe. No sliver of hope or tease of the future. Cause they’re rebooting. I’m not sure how audiences will respond to that

Keaton never doing a super hero role again after how he's been screwed over by both DC and Marvel on god lmao

even teen titans go was considered a success i think
