Ezra will forever be associated with that one gif from the movie where they jerk off while staring into their mother’s eyes.
It’s poetic.
We gotta talk about how influential this movie was. From combining rebooted characters with previous incarnations to how speed scenes are shot
1 of my fav cbms ever
Yeah nah this movie was lowkey kinda mid
the more I think about it, s*** trash outside of a few moments
And just remember that WB is going to have to deal with another flop when Aquaman 2 comes out
Why do people think that's gonna flop? The last film was pretty much insulated from DC branding and people like Aquaman he's still got the biggest DC film ever.
This not hitting 400+

The first Aquaman’s success is an anomaly among the DCEU for sure. It definitely benefited from really having no competition at the box office when it came out, and Jason Momoa was the hottest new star at the time. Not to mention it came out around Christmas.
But looking back, the film really isn’t very good lol
Aquaman 2 has been getting really terrible buzz among test screenings .
And it seems like DC has done little to no promo for it and I don’t see anyone from WB or DC even really mention that the film is coming soon
They’ve been gassing up the Flash film for a while, but it just doesn’t seem like the studio is nearly as confident in Aquaman 2. I’d be surprised if it’s half as successful as the first film, but we’ll see how it goes.
General audiences are just tired of below average comic book films

To the first point I don't think the release mattered cause even if you dropped alot of these DC films with no comp they prolly wouldn't have done as good.
It's like Joker inspite of middling reviews and divisive reaction did the second biggest numbers behind Aquaman and it was R rated.
It just seems like those two films(both disconnected from the DC brand) hit more for audience which is why I think the argument that the sequel won't do well doesn't hit for me.
It's plenty of superhero films with acclaim that don't do half what Aquaman 1 did It just seemed to connect which is more important then reviews or even quality.

Hey maybe Aquaman 2 ends up being a giant success for WB
But I really don’t think people are going to be buzzing to go see the film, and WB seems to know that . They are ready to just get these films out so they can finally start the DCU
Well at least DC finally beat Marvel at something !!!!!
No one tell Twitter I got mario movie tickets buy 1 get 1 free
I just thought of another reason why this movie didn’t do well
It’s too inside baseball
Think about your average Joe. Watches sports, doesn’t read comics, maybe has seen The Batman and the Nolan films. He walks into the Flash and bam, there’s Ben Affleck’s Batman. Then when the multiverse of it all comes into play, there’s Keaton. The person who doesn’t have any Batman knowledge beyond the Nolan films won’t know the significance of Keaton’s Batman. Then the whole third act is pulled from Man of Steel.
I think the point of this is that The Flash is a pretty inaccessible movie to someone who hasn’t seen any DCEU movies. So it’s harder for someone to take a friend to see this who hasn’t seen any other DCEU films. I think the movie does a good job explaining a few of these things but there’s no significance to outsiders outside the exposition
I’ve never watched any of the dcu movies and I was able to keep up and enjoy this
They, mainly Disney/marvel, oversaturated the market with too many superhero films.
They are too unserious

this reminds me of one of those jojo opening where villain interrupts the opening for the last episode
