Nah fr tho Dune, Guardians 3, ZSJL, Avatar are the only real GOOD ones I can recal that are pretty much flawless with their CGI
This year alone Ant Man, Shazam, the Flash, Blue Beetle, Fast X, Transformers, etc

Cmon now you know this crazy looking ending gotta be the result of Gunn mandated reshoots last minute hence the ridiculously unfinished rushed effects

There’s been a clear overall decline in CGI quality
might have some BTS stuff to do with it such as allocation of funds to certain departments/actors contracts and im sure the rise of costs/ searching out of house for second hand touch up work dwindling has an impact on that. idk. but im inclined to agree with you

COVID definitely has a big part to play. The backlog of projects was insane for what was supposed to drop in 2020. That plus people working from home with computers that probably weren’t as powerful and VFX supervisors couldn’t be in the same location as the artists. More money went to COVID teams on set and likely actors too

Not most of it but I wouldn’t be surprised if the ending ending was influenced by the reboot and the Ezra situation

i Disagree hardcore with the last minute reshoot claim. and even if that is the case, that a major studio dropped the ball this hard while spending the crazy amount they spent on this shows a huge lack of ability and a giant area of negligence

Well I mean there's 2 reported sets of reshoots in 2022 and 1 set of reshoots earlier this year, them denying it was major changes is same way they denied suicide squad was changing "to be funnier" when turns out in hindsight that's exactly what happened

the first 25/30 minutes can NOT make up for what follows. the s*** acting, the poor character decisions. the writing holy s*** omg its terrible. the cgi is probably some of the worst weve ever seen in any movie period.
they literally had this man run back in time and made that s*** look like the budget of the movie was a couple thousand dollars. they brought back characters just so the audience would go "oh look! its so n so, yay!" and immediately move past it but it doesnt work AT ALL.
they disrespected chris reeves so badly in this. they f***ed henry cavil in this. i mean the dude was right there and they decided not only to not use him for the "cameo" and i say that loosely, they also decided to not use the actual footage of him and just cgi him AGAIN. warner bros DID CGI HENRY CAVIL AGAIN THEY DIDNT LEARN THEIR LESSON.
i hope this movie bombs hard
why even make the plot of the flash revolve around a movie that audiences to this day STILL have issues with. how many ppl still say they think man of steel has serious problems or say that its a weak film? why nostalgia bait with a movie general audiences were luke warm on and not even try to correct that? its not gonna change any ones opinion of it.
this is the way the dceu dies, with barry allens tooth falling out and him looking stupid as s***.
