yeah ik some of the early ones went really on sc but they're the wave and street rap guys don't really count bc thats a different wave

Most of these didn't become popular through soundcloud (third and fourth wave, especially) - they were signed and just adopted the "soundcloud" aesthetics

Also, there are a lot of unknown and talented artists on soundcloud that no one knows about that aren't necessarily rappers

A lot of people on the fourth wave ain’t even blow up on SoundCloud
