Bad is anyway, Thriller has too much filler

Prince came out with 9 great albums that he produced himself and played most the instruments on. Will never understand how MJ is even in competition let alone considered the king of the 80s.

My guy u serious wit this?

maybe he was trying to rhyme Thriller and filler

that was just a satisfying accident

its definitely is not known as one of the first no skips ever never heard that in my life and can name countless older albums way more concise

I've heard it a few times

And I'd say less than 5% of all albums are truly no skips anyway

an accomplishment no matter who does it or when it was done

    thriller > bad

but yes you’re absolute right about prince, his 80s run was phenomenal and he’s infinitely better than MJ as a musician

when it only has 9 songs and 7 of them are certified hits and all 9 have critical acclaim and it's known as one of the first truly no skips ever

the girl is mine was definitely not critically acclaimed lmao

felt like it was with the intention to be a hit, lennons performance and writing feels like its trying so hard to be epic but just ends up falling flat and feeling pretty soulless imo

I will admit The Girl Is Mine really isn't great, but it's a classic record.

it was actually originally written in support of Timothy Leary’s campaign against reagan. lennon wasn’t trying to write a hit at all, but the other members insisted to record it and release it as a single.

and idk what you’re talking about it “falling flat” and being “soulless” lol

soulless as in the sentiments in the song just come off feeling vague/way too general and corny
