Ngl I think a lot of people were just following behind what others were saying although Graduation is a classic and amazing album ofc.
Its a thriller type album where its okay if you do that
Agreed, but a lot of ktt are children who don’t really get the impact the whole grad-808s era had that’s still felt even to this day. Ye basically started the new era of rap that wasn’t afraid to step outside the lines and push the genre forward.
This s*** a weird feeling cause thats exactly it. Niggas just wont know lol but it was probably like that with Pac X and BIG
Man throwback to those years where people really thought mbdtf was like the objective pinnacle of rap
Its not but rap peaked in the 3-4 years where that was vaguely a thing
Swastika diamond chain would sound hard af as a rap line unfortunately. Maybe an indian rapper can drop it without the negativity
wish we could find it

simply a fact dawg, universally liked album felt in everything vibey that came after
I wasnt one of the ones that saw Graduation as one of his worst but it was definitley a narrative back in the KTT1 days that it was people's least favorite pre TLOP
Its better than every album he made after it
Heavy on this. We never got that again.
Its better than every album he made after it
Yeezus

you just threw xxxtentacion up there with pac and big respect
Probably the most overrated rapper of all time, comparing XXXTentacion to Pac & Big is blasphemy tbh
Same reason people praise Carter 3 over other Wayne albums.
Both albums were commercial peaks in rap that defined eras and marked the times where the 2 most influential rappers of the 00's hit megastar status.
Niggas keep saying LR deserves the praise same way people say C2 deserves more praise than C3 but you're still not factoring in that it's more than just the music when it comes to those albums.
There was a time in the late 2000's where you would constantly hear Grad and C3 everywhere in all avenues. Hell, Paper Trail too.
TLOP probably would've hit a similar pinnacle if it weren't on Tidal and was better promoted.
