This is more of a zoomer reddit taste perceived by someone that's anti-reddit while still being just as casual. Die Lit does fit, but needs more s*** like Keef + the whole drill scene, Barter 6, Tha Carter 2, sLUms, Bankroll, mixtape Gucci. They really like posturing with lesser-known Atlanta trap and Chicago drill tapes tapes to their "real music" albums.

Gucci Mane and Chief Keef are not lesser known unless you are like 16 or younger and didn’t grow up with their music. Anybody who actually cares about prejail Gucci or old Keef probably listens to hip hop primarily and wouldn’t really be a hipster by any means.

Also Barter 6 had smashes and was universally praised so that’s a weird one to put on that list.

Edit: But will white people try to posture by saying they like older street rap, yes.

yeah i think most "hipsters" only really ventured into like finally rich when it comes to drill

don't even think they listen to other keef projects or even the other big drill artists

Ye fr but I don’t even think I’ve met any Keef fan irl that only liked or listened to Finally Rich. Maybe it’s just kids trying to look cultured online but that doesn’t even really make sense to me

I think it's because when people discuss keef's legacy it's often more about the influence than the actual music. so many times I've seen people say keef is a legend and so influential and so ahead of his time but then dismiss the actual quality of his music.

A lot of the times these people don't really understand the influence or misrepresent it because they're told about his influence and can kinda see where people are coming from when they praise keef.

that just made me sound pretentious as s***
just love to see keef getting love though

I’m with u 100%. I been following him forever and I’m glad he’s getting his flowers and all but people talk about him like his career is over when he’s still dropping great music and is on the cusp of another peak of relevancy in the mainstream. Even though people live in the past it just takes us fans to fight the good fight and talk about the new stuff as well.
