I was rewatching this interview today, and the more I watch the more I realize this is the single most important piece of content to Ye’s career. Watching this interview, especially now as so much of it has manifested, you really begin to understand post-MBDTF Ye. The level of depth he goes into about changing the culture and the value he puts on fashion over music makes it clear that he’s not a musician. He’s an artist. Because of the way it started we view him and judge him through the lenses of music but like it or not that was just his in, and clearly not his main focus as he states in the interview. I could talk for hours about it. Lmk your thoughts.
