I mean there are so many albums from the NY scene it’s hard to quantify
The fact that so many amazing albums are in contention for this category is why NY is GOATed
I think I'd actually put Liquid Swords over it, but The Infamous number 2
Ready To Die
Reasonable Doubt
Illmatic
OB4CL
36 Chambers
Return To The 36 Chambers
Ironman
Hell On Earth
s*** is stacked from that era

I'm not a huge fan of it tbh. Fear of a Black Planet however is unreal. Old heads big up Nation of Millions though, I just think it's been surpassed for what it was trying to do, by Public Enemy themselves as well as others.
Wait. Are only counting 90s albums cause GRODT, Blueprint, and Supreme Clientele are up there imho

You can count any year. All three of those are in contention for GOAT NY album too
I think there is about 10 albums that can be considered the best from NY and this is one.
Nyc has way to much classic hip hop to have a consist list. Y’all gonna have to pick another city
I agree. It’s something about this album. It’s authentic, it’s grimy, it’s honest, it’s angry at times, I f***ing love it!
This sounds like a commen you see on the back of a book
