watched this last night and my baby mom and I tried something like this as a last ditch effort to try and save our relationship (no pegging, just other females joining us) and I eventually had that conversation with my therapist about my misery and how it’s effecting my bm and will effect our child as he got older. my bm and I ended things because of very similar reasons to Joe and Angela. I lost all my desire of wanting to do anything I loved until I got that closure, which Joe got and then started playing music again in the final scene and it broke me. I didn’t expect it to take such a (somewhat) serious turn at that final act (Ed Norton getting yelled at for bringing in tea or whatever had me dying) but once Olivia sat next to Seth in his office/den and started playing piano with him I started to cry like a mf through the credits. with all that being said I thought this was really good, from the script to the cinematography, to the acting. I already wanna rewatch it but I’ll wait till it hits streaming. Haven’t seen any of Olivia’s other movies she’s directed but this was really well done. 4.5/5 for me.
