a thread to appreciate what I think is Jimi Hendrix's masterpiece, his third and final studio album released in his lifetime. I think Jimi is one of the few artists with a flawless discography (granted it is relatively small) but this album right here is definitely his crowning artistic achievement and one of the greatest albums of all time in all of music in my opinion. put this up against the other albums that were released around the same time in 1968 and you'll see just how forward thinking Jimi was. It essentially is a 4 sided album, with each side acting as a mini album in itself.

Side 1: straight heavy blues

It was difficult linking the songs i wanted to because this album doesn't seem to be so accessible on YouTube, but i highly recommend any new listeners to check this masterpiece out on streaming!

I definitely agree it’s his best and my favorite !!! It’s very close with Are You Experienced but the opening and closing run are so elite
