I’m catching up on past episodes and their music takes and coverage confuse me to the point that I don’t know if they’re serious or not. They breeze by the Royce album, kill Jay Elecs album, barely cover The Weeknd’s album. But they big up Kehlani like she’s Rihanna, swear Wale is Nas 2.0, call JOJO like we were waiting to hear from her, wtf. And I list I could list a lot more.

Cause he was one of the hottest acts out of New York at that time and Summer Jam was/is big in New York? His opinion about the dude changed

    Fair enough
Just feel like 6ix9ine was never not this.

It really confuses you? It's pretty simple. Don't think for one second they're not getting bags.

Bad enough when they spend 20+ minutes talking about some s*** nobody cares about. Even worse when they do a whole phone call and interview. Makes me cringe that they try passing some of this s*** off to us like it's not for a bag

Of course they gotta get their money, and I can certainly see their current advertising format as being the most beneficial for them. But at the very least I'd like to be somehow told "this is an ad" like other podcasts do

One story i want to hear is when Mal showed Joe a picture of his basketball team losing in the finals and Joe said he lost 4 million dollars and the picture was angering him. He said he would tell it one day. & That’s one i want to hear.

pretty s***ty gossip bc of how industry it’s become. What made this podcast so good was how uncensored they used to be.

Joe is happy being accepted by the industry so we passed the peak of the pod. which i’d say is post Complex early Spotify. 150-224 is roughly their peak imo.

Yeah it's obvious they get paid and the quality isn't as good as before, give four hours a week to something else if you don't get anything from it, how you gonna stop enjoying something but keep doing it

Been listening to Mike Tyson a lot more lately.

And another thing....Rory Ferrell, you are not funny enough to joke every minute. The basketball a***ogy’s work perfectly here.

Let the offense run through Joe he has great comedic timing and is funny enough to carry the team. Definitely a good volume shooter. player comp - Kobe

Mal is funny when he says more than 12 words a segment. He used to create create his own shot a lot of times. Peak Mal is as funny as Joe imo but he’s such an airhead people have turned on him and rightfully so, his decline is so glaringly bad because his peak was elite. player comp - Dwight Howard

Rory, Rory, Rory just stand in the corner and wait for the pass! Rory takes the ball and tries to take over the game, this is evident in the live podcasts. it’s ok to not tell a joke every topic. Current player comp Julius Randle. Player comp when he plays HIS game Danny Green
(I could go in on Rory but i’m strictly talking about comedy here. not about how Rory is an ass kissing fake industry dude.)

Parks had a good peak. Him and Rory play the same type of game. One-liners/spot up shooters. Rides Joe hella hard though. A second of dead air is ok bro. ( he’s been much more quiet lately though, hope his personal life is ok) Player comp when he’s on fire - Kyle Korver
