If their collective takes on why the dems lost is representative of the interpretation of most dems in the US the dems are in for an unprecedented L streak.. Joe was the closest to the truth.

until we see the data its hard to tell. theres numerous reasons for the loss

incumbent curse (she didnt do enough to seperate herself from biden)
    not charismatic enough
    racism/misogny
didnt talk about dem accomplishments enough (people dont really know about how much the biden admin has done)
too left / not left enough

I think all of those points are splitting hairs.. it comes down to perceived authenticity and the fact that, bullshit or not, the majority of Americans perceive Trump to be authentic. That and he’s made his main issues the issues that most, not politically active people, care about. The dems have a stink on them of being aligned with the establishment bureaucracy, I’m not saying whether thats a fact or not just that Trump is positioned as outside that.. the only thing that’s going to change this is if he completely misses the mark on every issue over the next 4 years.. and the dems can run again on a “return to calm and normalcy” OR someone comes in and reshapes the dems in their image and there’s a post-dem party.. it’s what Trump did to the republicans.. and American politics.. they can resist that or start getting on new media and speaking unfiltered.. and not for the sake of it, but for better or for worse from a place that they actually believe in as an individual.

what happened in 2020? he wasnt perceived authentic then?

most americans go off vibes, unfortunately. low information voters are more likely to be republican

Exactly what I said could happen in 4 years, Trump creates a chaotic social environment and doesn’t follow through on his issues.. then you can position it as a return to normalcy. I guess you could say that, but it seems like cope.. it’s possible they got the information the otherside is pushing and reject it..

What good is asking those questions. Let's speak in timelines relevant to most people lives. You're catching people on a pendulum swing and saying hey, have things been good for the last few months?

    1. According the FBI's Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program and the Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) violent crime rates across the U.S. consistently dropped from 2016 to 2020 and increased by nearly 10% in 2020. Homicides increased by nearly 30% 2020 compared to 2019, and remained elevated in 2021. Increases in aggravated assaults in 2020 and 2021. As far as I can tell comprehensive data is yet to be released for 2023/2024. You can blame it on COVID and say these numbers are higher than the 90s, but that doesn't really change the "vibe" for people.

    2. Inflation went from 1.4% in 2020 to 9.1% in 2022 ..

    3. I'll give you this one, more Republicans participate in the stock market so they should know

    4. Most of 2021 you're looking at 1.7m unauthorized encounters, 2022 2.3m, similar in 2023.. for these periods its steadily increased and were not at or near the lowest levels, instead at historically high levels

doesnt change the facts about the questions asked.

so crimes waves went up during trump and bidens term 2020/21

    inflation is at 2.5%

    low unemployment rates

why are people obsessed with immigration. they are a net benefit to the economy. they commit less crimes than citizens

child tax credit, infrastructure bill, chips act, etc. people went off vibes instead of the reality

Joe and Flip have been joking about a Mel and Emanny relationship for the past couple of weeks including several times on the past episode.

Mel made her new relationship with another guy public last episode and they cooked Emanny, I guess the jokes finally went too far lol.

If you watch Mel’s body language during the jokes there is definitely something happening of camera, she seemed uncomfortable.

You don’t understand, things have improved when a***yzing a narrow sliver of this administrations performance. Forget what you’ve lived, focus on the NOW!

No, they joked it on some of the regular episodes too including today but unless you’re really paying attention you won’t notice it.

But on the episode today it’s really noticeable.

How do you reconcile this perspective with the dems spending more than republicans in this election to get this information out coupled with dems turnout dropping off by the millions? Low information dems? Is Joy a vibe or a feeling..

they didnt do a good enough job of it then. they had a great ground game but that s*** was pointless in this era. biden had no ground game and won.

but lets vote in the guy thats going push more tariffs that'll exasperate cost of goods.
