Somehow I feel slightly less empathetic for the situation since it seems like they didn't negotiate a good contract. Like how was vacation/paid holiday not discussed? Also can't expect these businesses to have souls, Joe should know that already. You don't get what you don't ask. They need better managers / lawyers.

From the way Joe was talking it sounded like he knew signing with Spotify was a bad idea from the jump and still signed.

These guys talk about knowing your worth and not signing s*** that doesn’t fit what you’re due all the time yet still signed a contract where they had to ask for leave on holidays and couldn’t even get that leave. Idk, it seems that Joe even with all the talk he does about artists and the creators and signing s*** he saw the money and rushed to sign anyway.

I think they’re a company that’s barely making even and are in millions of dollars in debt, hence why they are acting the way that they are

From what I understood Joe said he signed with Spotify because it would be good for brand awareness, and could use the success of Spotify’s brand to leverage great deals with other companies, which Joe did for his deals with Revolt/Viacom
