    They lowkey nasty for actually wanting the rolex's though. Spotify wouldn't give them vacation time but were like "Here's some watches lil niggas"

    maybe, retroactively, these guys picked the wrong time to join spotifty. Clearly underappreciated. If they came on board when they were more popular on their own then I think they'd see a different bag.

    The Pusha interview by themselves without spotifty would have been major

    na don't think so. They got signed at the perfect time and helped push spotify into really investing in podcasts. Within the last year spotify has been reaching for huge networks and celebrities not sure they would have thrown a bone to JBP

    Spotify really just doesn't respect a black audience like they do the white one. Them execs know nothing about Joe's base and importance which is fine. Only real musics gonna last all that other bullshit....

    Joe too often stands on his points--points that aren't evidence of whats entirely happening in the industry but mostly from his particularly bad experience he harps on

    Funny thing tho is they are no longer exclusive to spotify, they would most likely still upload to spotify. Don't see them throwing away that audience. Can't post full pods on youtube, can't do tidal cause it would have to be exclusive. So they gotta go back to soundcloud and itunes who theyve been s***ting on. These niggas got themselves in a tough predicament.

    He’s out performing The Ringer though, so this take doesn’t make much sense to me? They can supplement losing him sure, but I feel like you’re phrasing it in a way that the ringer brings more value.

    because using joe's word, they can 'pillage' from the ringer, what they've already pillaged from his audience and audio. probably why they want the video and the pull up and everything else

    can someone fill me in on what the latest is? I only know Joe announced he's not coming back to Spotify after sept 23. im seeing 360 deal posts itt...what else did he say for his next step?

    the 360 deal thing was said because Joe mentioned that Spotify was taking a cut from their touring shows

    kinda wild how joe goes into these meetings alone and seems like rory and mal have probably never seen what's been offered lmao

    would not surprise me if spotify just wanted rights to pull up and the pod, i don't see why or how they would ask for a cut of rory's management s*** or mal's... master classes

    also i don't get how they dont understand why spotify wouldn't want them to take christmas off. they didnt agree to it in the contracts and obviously new years/christmas specials would be great for listenership
