Spotify wants to start emphasizing podcasts

They go to Joe and Amy Schumer to pop it off

Joe does Joe while Schumer is s***

The plan works and now Spotify is an attractive location for podcasts AND they can now afford to give out large bags for said podcasts

Joe wanted one of those large bags for putting them in this position and sticking through the initial contract despite multiple happenings of bullshit on Spotify’s end

They don’t agree so both sides walk away

Spotify are a capialist business (god i hate typing that lol) buttt you really think they're going to give extra JPB money for "setting the table", that sounds nice in theory and they do owe them big time, but you're delusional if you think they actually will out of the kindness of thir heart.

If you listen to everything Joe said about their recent interactions with spotify, it made it pre clear that spotify don't give af about 'being nice' and treating them with respect, they're treating them as just another podcast, and a podcast that isn't willing to sign over anything more than for a licensing deal at that.

If Joe is to believed they actually literally owed them for benchmarks/bonuses in their contracts that they never received as well.

Joe has said for like a month now tho it isn’t REALLY about the bag but moreso what it represents. He just wants what mfs in the 1920s wanted: equal pay for equal production. Spotify made it clear that they wasn’t gonna give it to him so he said f*** em

In the 20s, unions were formed to make sure workers got equal pay for equal work and hey now whaddaya know podcasts at Spotify just formed a union after Joe’s rant
