Lets take for example the Nyan Cat NFT - it auctioned off for $600k - it wouldn't nearly of been sold for that if it wasn't popularized around the internet / well known.

I honestly don’t think it’s a one size fit all situation. However, in traditional collecting the more common something is the less value the item is. Imagine if Pokémon mad 1 billion charzard cards, the current value of the cards wouldn’t exist. Rarity is what drives up the value of the goods. Because people will bid and drive up the prices based on emotion.

I see the value of the NFT being attached to physical goods. Imagine when you buy a Rolex watch or art work instead of getting a authenticity card you get a NFT. Physical goods are crucial to the success as you can show off your product. If u have a digital asset on your hard drive who knows and who cares. Half of collecting is the ability to flex that you are the owner. Not just the investment opportunity or your love for the artist and designer.

Every luxury product should come with a NFT.

In entertainment NFT are really about protecting the copyright owner.

Its about owning the authenticity - there can only be 1 original of a certain item, everything else is 'bootleg'. So for your charizard card example - there isn't going to be one billion minted charizard cards, there can only be one. Owning that original would be valuable.
