Has joe reacted to that chris brown album ?
yeah, like every other album he vibes with it and needs to hear it outside
Mal is gay.
Feel sorry for him that he’s unable to live his life freely.
Lmao, his latest rant on twitter reaffirms this post
If he really is it'll be weird on the show given that he's said nobody cares coming out anymore
he's too insecure and a closet homophobe. he's scared of homosexuality foreal. he'd prolly die if he saw his co-hosts d***s by mistake
just seen Mal's twitter. this guy is a lost cause. insecurity and lame at an all time high

the one-two punch of the d-rose takes coming off the haircuts takes was punishment. quarantine mal is nuts

He’s doing too much trying to justify his behavior. I don’t blame him, he’s been in defense mode since childhood. Can you imagine being gay in Harlem in the 80s?

talking about haircuts and asking 'Which one of you dudes get your haircut and walk outside hoping the bro’s like it?' then going on to diss dudes avi's like it's ktt, anytime they disagree with him.

cornyyyyyyyy wtf
right? it's very ironic considering he always calls others corny.
Rory’s fake laugh sounds like his diaphragm is about to explode. It’s making my chest hurt.

What would you suggest to make this podcast better?
more fact checking
less of joe killing a topic because he feels it’s too serious, even though it’s interesting to the listeners
less copping out and dancing around honest reviews of certain artists when they drop mid
maybe call somebody who’s a little more knowledgeable on certain topics if the guys can’t truly do it justice themselves. instead of just joking it off like “we’re stupid men”, have someone call in and use your platform to educate. that’s something that a charlemagne or joe rogan has been able to do to elevate their content: get people who’s boots are on the ground or are experts in certain topics and let them get on the mic. it’ll only help.
i disagree, they talk about everyone and everything that deserves a discussion
this is completely untrue lol. most underground rap artists under the age of 35 never get mentioned on this podcasts.
joe and his friends are a weird demo because joe has seen extreme success as a major label artist and huge underground success as a mixtape rapper so he’s sort of unpredictable in his takes or his views on music. like we’ve seen joe s*** on frank, kendrick and solange for being too experimental (despite him being a champion for the creators being creators).
at the very same instance, they’ll hold up an unmixed song of a new york rapper on a simple 4 bar loop of a 70s soul song talking about d*** dealing like it’s a crown jewel, despite the fact we’ve heard it a million times over. and no i’m not saying that isn’t dope, i’m saying all of it is but it isn’t always equally covered.
brockhampton had the first openly gay rapper at this level of notoriety leading them and got huge streaming numbers, sold out tours, had a huge scandal, and did all the music and visuals within their own team of young members and we didn’t hear not one peep from Joe about it. how do you miss that and you’re the voice of the culture? i’m not saying i expect joe to love the music because it’s not his era but it’s been a lot of cases of younger artists that stand for what joe stands for and is making extremely interesting moves and music but instead we hear them talk about drake, dababy and fab weekly lol
Them acknowledging non mainstream spitters besides Royce and Griselda like Danny Brown, KRIT, Joey Bada$$, Mick Jenkins, Earl or Vince (acknowledging his music and not just laughing at his jokes) would be cool.
i definitely feel like they should be talking way more about a mick jenkins or a smino. and i think parks was the only one who even talked about earls last couple releases but for a group of dudes who prize lyricism, how do you overlook earl?
also, you are completely right that they’ve literally only talked about vince for his humor and not his music. vince has been putting out extremely creative albums and pushing himself sonically and visual every time. like we heard him do a super house inspired album then turn around and do an album based on riding in the car listening to the radio. not to mention he really RAPS and has something to say. like joe is on the podcast talking about why vince isn’t doing media yet... maybe he’s waiting until you niggas take him serious an artist so his music doesn’t get pushed to the side for the sake of a podcast. he’s not just a nigga rapping, he’s an artists artist.
Parks checking Joe on his usage of 'proof of concept' was hilarious lol
Joe had a real TI moment there by tryna sound smart using terms like that outside of their more conventional applications.
does this podcast have any producers? or is all the content literally just stuff they may talk about earlier that day and what joe thinks of on the fly?
because that’s why we may be have been getting griselda/drake/fab/tory to death over the last year
i really don’t have huge problems with this podcast but reading these past couple pages really made me think about the fact that they talk about the same couple artists and topics and the real lifeblood of the show is the jokes and camaraderie and stories from joes heyday, and the occasional honest industry conversation.
