I’m just trying to cause discourse lol. El chapo will be in here shortly eating it up
Most bizarrely, the series strangely lacks in the dead department. (Throughout the nine-episode first season, the dead only appear briefly in four episodes.) Despite running rampant in the game, the mutant, zombified creatures are so scarce in the series that it's unbelievable that survivors haven't risen up, killed all of them, and returned the world to normal by now.
Damn

Pre order cancelled
doesn’t bother me that much as because in the television format we don’t need constant zombies thrown at us to keep us entertained with gameplay. If they nail the setting, and establish they are a threat in those episodes I’ll be happy

Betting they’ll be in ep1, 3, 7, 8

Yeah something like that
Yeah something like that
Reviewer didn’t even take the time to spell his last name correctly and is a walking dead super fan according to someone in the discord so that review also doesn’t count. They definitely looked at their phone for most of the show and occasionally glanced up!

Last of Us II discourse is so powerful it’s spilled into an entirely different medium.
Making the actors guilty by association.

Not even real hate. Just the to be expected stuff of letting moments breathe. Time to get attached to characters. Rushing through or feeling different from the game or similarities to content we knew it was inspired by. Can't lie I think the later half of the season will not at all have same punch as end of first game and will more feel that they want to get to plot of game 2 that will take up 2 seasons and get to breathe a lot more
I’m just trying to cause discourse lol. El chapo will be in here shortly eating it up
Y'all got to chill some I really don't hate on this becoming a tv show. Me saying its already fit some to be a tv show isn't hating its just reality
There are very few moments in the game that feel too game like to be a movie. As in would look silly in live action. So its not really about "is this possible" never really has been. Its always been about will they invest enough money, time, acting and slight writing to adapt some parts. The toughest part always being can an attachment form to the same degree without the controller in your hands. When you have seen similar stories. Do you make it from Joel perspective so in a way it emulates playing as him or do you tell all character stories? All those things have been interesting to see what they do to me. But amount of money, time and care put into it this show was never going to be outright bad. Just a matter of will gamers and general audience f*** with it enough to justify all the effort listed above

For that reason alone hbo is giving out controllers at all retailers to hold while watching

Nah got to do something similar to my issue with Marvel and DC. Have some moments where its more "filler" of getting to know characters without bouncing plot point to plot point. Like Breaking Bad did in many episodes. Many episodes where "nothing happens" or normal human moments that break up violence or major plot. Like Fly episode of Breaking Bad. Glad it works though . Based on general idea I don't think this will blow me away but will be starting week 1 at least and see when or if I fall off

Man already planning what episode to stop watching this

Me personally I don't like knowing what is going to come next on major plot points unless something really well does each episode or moment. I don't read manga before adaptations. I think most anime adaptations are weak. I haven't played Last of Us 1 since 2013,but don't know what if anything is going to hook or hurdle me to the end or week by week.
In to watch the nerd discussion but only care so much. Winter is depressing enough don't need a depressing show
What is blud taking about
What is blud taking about
you wanted content
I am saying major story beats going to be the same so I am not overly hyped to see it in this case because there is no part of the game where I said "omg this can only be done in a game". Will just be different or less intense cause there is no fail state
