This episode didnt blow me away, the acting or the cinematography

The way they hyped it I lowered my hype. I think they kind of overhyped it some when its just the beginning. Going to let it stack since reviewers saw the whole season

Also I read Tess character different in the game, Tess was the Alpha in my view, very tough woman. Her intro scene in this was weird.

She was kind of alpha in this definitely to different degrees. I asked if you played the games and when because I haven't played and beaten the Last of Us since launch. So I know everyone will have their different levels. If you compare every little thing to the game it won't line up. But thinking about what works best for the medium.

Cinematography wise definitely could play around with angles more but we got time

This episode especially they used a lot of hand held cameras. Wonder if it’s a stylistic choice due to being a video game adaption and feels more immersive? I personally like hand held cameras but I know some people don’t like it

When doctor strange opens a portal at the end and Abby steps out

It was pretty damn good, ngl.

Still gonna have to adapt to the changes that were & will be made throughout the series run though.

Definitely just think it would be cool to see third person like camera angles sometimes. Don't know if it would necessarily work but that main character feel. Who knows time will tell. I think the reenactment shots cool overall. Glad its delivering on all cylinders overall and that people are loving it but like they said it feels like something is missing . Maybe it will connect in coming episodes
