I am in no way trying to be difficult but do you realize change in mediums versus playing could change some things as well as knowing what will happen ?

So far for me ( again just me personally ) reminds me of when I read watchmen then movie was announced. It’s different feels even though in both cases it’s near 1:1

Well with Watchmen it feels so different despite being 1:1 cause Snyder is glorifying characters we aren’t supposed to think are cool. Is that what’s going on here (haven’t played the games btw) or you just don’t like the 1:1 aspect itself?

Oh yeah Watchmen definitely many other issues I had including glorifying characters. I think when it comes to everything and part of why the "curse" exist isn't just missing the 1:1, tone or effort but also medium being a part of the message

I think there are some parts of the medium of gaming that add to the story that in a change of format won't hit as hard without the struggle of failing, death, retries, wondering lost, controller in hand .

I try not to compare it to a Children of Men, 28 Days later, Man on fire but since it was inspired by some of them and returning to the live action format it becomes interesting.

Like its hard for me to fully describe. Also its just the pilot. I only played Last of Us 1 once but loved it for what it was. Reseeing the plot is an odd feeling.

But do I understand when it comes to anything why someone could feel in one medium its terrible or underwhelming versus another medium great ? Yes. Do I think its terrible ? As I have said no it just feels like something is missing for me even with the pilot.

Idk how old the actress is but they doing this to a 14 year old character smh. Disgusting

people eventually just view people as famous and rich. They don't really care about age because many of them were bullied at that age. Cycles continue. The irony that they are the Last of Us fans but lack empathy makes a lot of things about their reaction to the second game make sense . Sometimes those that need the story the most get it the least.

Tomb raider was a decent movie I remember rewatching it a lot growing up past Jolie being sexy
