I never played the game, so this all new to me
FIRST EPISODE GOT ME F***ED UP
Watching E1 right now and this is excellent - I have a question about the mechanics of the fungus' transmission, though: is this FEDRA guard that dealt with the stray kid going to be infected now?
His test came up positive (red), then they euthanized him right? But he had an open wound and that guard was breathing the same air as him without a mask - so is she going to be infected now? Or can the fungus ONLY be transmitted via wounds? Figuring someone who's played the game might know

it is not airborne in the show. It was more airborne in the game however. How exactly it works with wounds we we will have to see more. Currently it seems and is heavily hinted to be connected with food supply specifically flour

In the game it’s transmitted through bites and from breathing in spores in the air in certain areas where the infected congregate. That’s why they need gasmasks.
