I think for a show only watcher it will be the only stance. There has been no confidence or reason given to believe in Fireflies, Marlene or Jerry know wtf they are doing or that he is some genius doctor. I think in Game 1 for those that didn't pick up the recordings like me its kind of just like "its a game of course this doctor is conveniently the only one that can make the vaccine and Ellie the only one that it can come from and I don't necessarily care if she lives or dies because in my mind at this point this is the only game we see them in ". Just feels like they got to tweak something about ending to throw game players off and make it a grey decision

100% and that's always been my main criticism of TLOU2\. The Fireflies came across not only as a\*\*\*\*\*\*s but total buffoons. The game gives you no reason to believe their plan had much of a chance. I never for a second disagreed with what Joel did (and neither did most people who played it)

I mean the most bothersome thing about the ending for me was always killing defenseless people and being forced to do so. Marlene lowering her gun and doctors. You kill so many humans in game 1 that the last thing on your mind is a vaccine :deadfast: . Like a Vaccine wouldn't even if properly distributed change how far gone humanity clearly was . I am wondering if they can make fireflies and Marlene competent enough where the ending leaves viewers thinking something. I hope they don't do a corny flashback of Joel seeing sarah die before the rampage

You only have to kill the one main doctor who comes at you with a scalpel, you can spare the others. Every other Firefly is shooting at you
