yes a lot of the action and killing taken out . The conversations are where most of the story was told though. The story helps justify the violence in the game. In a show you don't really need that violence to the same level its gameplay on gameplay

then this show not for you because even game 1 the action was a lot of human on human. ( one of of the complaints from some playing the game). Infected are in both game 1 and 2 but budget wise got to be limits
