Joel Last of Us 2 spoilers dying wasnt that huge to me because I thought he would die in parts of the first game. For me it was more the convenience of the doctors daughter targetting Joel when really I thought everyone that believed in Ellie being the Cure would be out for him. It worked though. While at the same time the idea of an still hyper paranoid Joel who never trusted anyone since because of a lie he told would have slapped for me personally. I do get that wouldn't be sustainable to his mental health and seeing him human helps the story so :seanshrug: . Joelers are scary
