thats also a problem with lack of screentime building on their relationship tho. this all feels super rushed.

Do you think removing many of the gameplay elements lead to this as silly as it may seem ladders, pushing things together, talking or looking for where to go next, boss fights, fighting infected and humans all kind of being taken out took some of the soul out of it for me. At times being separated.

definitely but its also just a matter of writing and acting. some shows/movies can pull s*** like that off with a single scene.

9 episodes is wayyyy to short this episode was great but have yet to really care about joel and ellie as a father/daughter relationship. episode 7 really ruined the tone and tension 🤷.

I mean many say "its also 10 hours so its not rushed" but I get you because gameplay parts not there so it hits different. Without many would consider filler. It all feels like a speed run of the game for me personally

I am serious. Finale my expectations are very very very low now so I can't be disappointed. You know one of my gripes are a lot of the foreshadows to future seasons versus focusing on this season landing. The show lowered my expectation before going into finale so that is good
