yup totally agree with ya. idt it’s a necessarily bad thing though. i’m rooting for joel cause he’s the main character and a beast simply put. so am i mad the show didn’t paint him in a more negative light? not necessarily

and yea i guess maybe show shoulda done the grey area better? idt it did enough to make us believe ellie 110% would have died for a CHANCE at the cure, cause the way marlene was talking absolutely nothing was 100% lol. if they either indicated ellie was down for the cure no matter the cost and failure rate of the surgery, it would have made joel look a little more crazy. but imo it's hard for the viewer only to not side with him. maybe not necessarily side with him, but find what he did reasonable.
they wrote this perfectly imo because as a player and viewer, it’s perfectly reasonable and doesn’t make you hate Joel but it’s still questionable at best and a very uneasy / selfish-ish decision he makes for his own sanity. But you don’t end up hating Joel for this in any way. Brilliant storytelling that most people could relate to

Neil on the kinda funny podcast today: The next big thing after TLOU Online is already into development and although he acknowledges the fan request for a TLOU Part 3, the next project has already been chosen and it's something that the whole studio chose because it's something that will keep everyone excited for years to come.
