I think show the Joel flash backs besides the end one at the beginning. Build Ellie up to the revenge plot. Also show the effects of him doing this at the end of season 1 more than game did because it really doesnt address the mass shooting

Oh I am still do it by like episode 3 or 4 but trim some of the fat before it and after it. Don't do any flashbacks where he is alive or play with expectations of when and how it happens both with show viewers and game players. 100% don't do it in the same way.

Its stupid that they got rid of the mask in the first place. 1 it's not like they spend the whole game in mask and 2. This man made a show about Chernobyl I'm pretty that had to use mask a lot on that show
Mar 14, 2023Kinda strange, after every episode I was like "Damn, this really is an amazing, 10/10 show", but after the final episode aired I'm more on the side that the show kinda rushed thru the first game.
I'd still give the whole season an 8/10 or even an 8.5/10, but for a survival, post-apocalyptic horror show, I feel like the show definitely could've used a lot more action sequences like the opening one of the final episode with Ellie's mom.
We didn't really get to see them fighting the zombies and surviving in the wilderness tbh, I just kinda miss that part of the world-building.
They really could've stretched it out with one or two more episodes with a few action sequences, it really would've done wonders for both the world-building and the pacing of the season.
Still a great first season and both Pedro and Bella were great, IMO.
I read that they plan to stretch the second game out to more seasons than one, and thank f*** they do, cause I don't know how they would've fit everything from the second game into one season.
