I have not played TLOU2 but it's super fking tragic if Joel lying to Ellie after he saved her was the beginning of the end of their wonderful dynamic and relationship then we just see them X years later and they're nowhere near as close because that lie has pushed them apart

Tbh I hope that’s not the case. The main bulk of content of TLOU2 happens after Joel dies. Which means they would have to squeeze almost all of TLOU2 in to just season 3\. So a lot of content would be rushed or cut out completely because of that

A lot of content is gameplay that’s not needed though . If you just focus on plot points it’s really not that much to get done . Probably 12 hours

idk. Maybe dinosaur / astronaut stuff do chronologically. But that scene for me works and only hit as hard cause it was a flashback at that certain point in game. Was sobbing like a baby. Wouldn’t hit as hard chronologically. That’s one of the few exceptions I have for flashbacks in this game, I want this one to be there

People were already complaining about season 1 being rushed, if you fit almost all of TLOU2 in to the 3rd season….the pacing would suffer even more than season 1\. There is a lotttt of ground to cover in that game

Ellie’s journey through Seattle, Abby’s journey and the big Seraphite battle in the village, Ellie and Joel flashbacks, Abby flashbacks, Ellie and Dina developing their relationship, Tommy hunting down Abby and fighting the WLF, introducing the Seraphites and WLF and giving them lore, Lev and Yara character development, Ratking fight

There’s no way to cover all of that in one season. Only way to adapt TLOU 2 is to give it 2 full seasons imo

game 2 to me already rushes or glances over a lot of its plot . Side characters got to get more
