The show will have to be slow at times, just like the game was.
But I would definitely expect there to be much more action than season 1

well lets map out the episodes

theres 7 episodes. Lets assume the first 2 episodes are the prologue and the THING happens episode 2, theres 3 days for them to cover. Thats 1 episode for 1 day, and 2 episodes for the other days.... not sure how they wanna structure it but i see litttle time for filler. I personally dont see a whole episode side story like we saw in season 1, BUT there 100% will be a side story with this catherine o hara character we have no clue who she is. AND we will see isaac during the first part which we never did with the game. So there will be additional stuff thats not in the games

felt rushed and slow at the same time to me.
the parts that mattered felt rushed but it felt like they were taking forever to get the story going.

That being said, TLOU szn1 is one of the few seasons where I remember every episode.

there was something distinctly memorable about every ep unlike a lot of shows that all blur together

First season dragged on the stuff that didn't matter, and sped thru the main plot and character development

Isabella Merced (Dina) on TLOU Season 2

Ever since it was confirmed that Dever would be playing Abby in The Last of Us Season 2, rational fans have been concerned about the inevitable uproar that's SPOILER REMOVED it seems that HBO is well aware of that happening and is already preparing for it.
This was confirmed by Isabela Merced in a recent interview with Josh Horowitz for Happy Sad Confused, where the two discussed Merced's time on the show and her work with Dever and Bella Ramsey, who plays Ellie. At one point, Horowitz says that he's concerned about the reception that Dever is going to get for playing Abby, which is something that Merced shares.
Merced even confirms that Dever had to be "extra secured" by security when filming for The Last of Us Season 2 because of how much hate her character has received from the game alone. It's likely that Dever has been informed of what's going to happen, although Merced says that she "does not get phased by things" and hopefully won't be too affected.

F*** I’m still behind Bella 100% but if they recasted the role for Season 2 Cailee Spaeny would’ve been PERFECT

lol the whole time I saw alien I’m like this is literally Ellie, Dina (the girl who plays Dina in season 2 is in alien), and lev she looks just like her.

But she doesn’t have the mannerisms :/ and her emotional acting isn’t as good as Bella’s. When she screamed in the movie and tried to showcase horror I was like damn that’s all you got?

About to go see it in 30 but her performances in Civil War and Priscilla are great

Yea early 2025 seems very possible.
And I can imagine they end up releasing the first trailer around late October for Halloween season
