This season is doomed to be a disaster just like the second game. I will concede that Part II might work better, at least structurally, as a tv show but I’m not optimistic at all. Unless they address the sloppy themes, inconsistent characterizations, and dreadful pacing this show is doomed.

Agree to disagree. I understand the consensus is that Part II is relatively well received, but the game is broken on a character, narrative, structural and thematic level. It has a lot of problems. I was hoping that adapting Part II into two separate seasons would fix some of those issues, but given the trailer I’m not holding my breath. It looks like they’re going with the same contrived story beats.

I mean the pacing from Season 1 is already quite deliberate so that won't be much of an issue, but then again, I struggled with House of the Dragon S2...
