Cap. Director had a vision in mind already with Bella and Pedro in GOT. Of course she had to audition for the role but they approached them specifically for it. Now she's still playing adult Ellie which makes it an even worse casting choice
You just need a reason to keep b****ing about Bella so you keep telling yourself that lie
youre so f***ing lame dude
looks matter also reviews are bought and paid for and woke stuff like this always gets the red carpet

Please recast this polar bear it doesn’t look like how I want it to. Thank you.
Weirdos fixating on Bella Ramsey as if Pedro Pascal's casting isn't every bit as awful.
Because he's hispanic? Lmao what, what other reason would you have against him
At least Bella does not LOOK the part and I can understand people finding it off. I agree on that part. Though she's a good actress, but the look isn't there.
I don't see what problem you would have with Pedro that makes it every bit as awful
I don’t understand saying she can’t ACT like Ellie because she doesn’t LOOK like Ellie. They’re called actors not models.
Because Ellie isn't a character from a book or some s***. She's a character from a hyper-realistic video game. You can't be surprised when fans are mad that she looks NOTHING like her. Then it adds another layer when you keep her for the adult version because of how much Ellie changes and what she does in the second game. Everything about that casting is nonsensical and that doesn't take away from her acting chops, it's just a bad casting

She was great in season one and critics are saying she’s great in season two so I’m not sure what the issue is. I trust people who have actually seen season two over a bunch of random online people.
Didn't say there isn't criticism, that exists with anything, but as far as consistent heated debates revolving around the game. The controversial stuff is the most apparent thing to frequently be drawn out even years later. Far more than any other aspect from what I've seen discussed.

I think that's pushed forward by the 100% perfect flawless glazing that is used to push back against the gamergate squad (understandable). So it's just another source of fuel for why this game is still heated almost 6 years later.
Using the term “heated” might’ve been an exaggeration, but debates and thinkpieces are definitely still happening daily for TLOU2. I’m still seeing people upload thinkpieces on YouTube to this day
Some people try to act like the story is so forgettable or they call it the “worst story ever”, but if that were the case people wouldn’t still be typing paragraphs about it 5 years later lol
And im not saying people have to like it’s story, but the fact that everyone has an opinion on the story, shows how much of an impact the game really had
A classic duology tbh

Fair enough. I don’t disagree with that. Unfortunately, people just like to be pissed off and would rather fan the flames of the “culture war” than engage with the game as a piece of storytelling.
I’ll be the first to admit a lot of the issues I just pointed out can be remedied by the tv show. That’s the benefit of the medium. The narrative structure specifically will likely be improved dramatically. I expect them to intercut the Seattle story between Ellie and Abby, which will do wonders for the story as a whole.
Tlou2 is flawless to me

So u just finna ignore everything I just said. U can be a good actor but still be miscast

But she wasn’t miscast she did a great job acting like Ellie in season 1 and for the I believe 4th time now the critics have been praising her season 2 performance so I trust them over people on Twitter fishing for likes.
also its woke
Oh no! Why are you even here then cause it’s just following the games?
also its woke
You are going to be watching season 2 episode 1 at 9pm on the dot regardless.

She did an OK job in season 1 dude relax. Had some great moments but overall was a mid performance. Concerns with season 2 is Ellie changes a lot and I don't believe that this actress can pull off the intensity needed for part 2 Ellie. And thats no gripe to her, she just doesn't have the look

Seen a couple people say similar things to this. I think Bella will be just fine.
Bella will do better as 19 year old Ellie than they did as 14 year old Ellie . And i genuinely believe that.

I'll wait to watch it for myself cause I feel like due to all the s*** she's getting online, reviewers are less inclined to criticize her performance

Crazy thing is there’s other people in the show who look even less like their game character such as Maria. Dina doesn’t look exactly similar. Tommy either. Abby is not muscular like the game. But Bella gets the majority of the “miscast cause of looks” backlash. Thats why I feel like a lot of the hate on Twitter is for likes and attention.

Feel like you gotta be purposefully ignoring that Bella's looks are what make her stand out to people. Ellie could be any average brunette, but Bella isn’t average looking, she has like an Andy milonkas kinda look physically. Which if Andy milonkas was casted as Joel everybody would be talking how he doesn’t look or fit the character.
Being 5’1 and having child like looks doesn’t really help you look like an intimidating killer
