9.4 on imdb so the loser thing didn't really work lol
Updated and still steady at 9.4...
Highest rated episode of the show so far this is actually shocking lmao
I like them building Jesse up more at the beginning. Ellie and Dina will get a lot of time in the rest of S2, Jesse casting is a stroke of genius and it’s good that we get more time to see him. Swapping him up early on here is a good choice.
MEGA GAME SPOILERS:
him getting popped in the head out of nowhere will hit more with this groundwork laid. Once Ellie and Dina go off on the journey next ep, there isn’t much more time to give him scenes
i totally forgot that happens
going to hit extra hard now fr
Bella is about to put on a masterclass of acting for the remainder of the show
I just know it

I only know about Joel and the scuffle where somebody loses a finger
Man the addition of Ellie crawling to Joel’s body and holding his hand… I wasn’t prepared for that
I really hope they don't make Ellie's storyline all "point A to point B" like in the game, that was the weakest thing about part II imo
How do you feel about this
personally I think he kinda dragging it a bit.
Tv show lighting where they have to film it in a day vs lighting in a game they developed for 6 years

This is a very basic reading, is like saying the home assault scene in a clockwork orange was too bright and had the wrong soundtrack choice... they clearly playing with a juxtaposition

I can't say this affected my viewing experience tbh.
Denver did well with that tho, kinda lacks the commanding intimidating dimension cuz Broly Abby was a f***ing force
It’s a good thing she’s a really good actress

slightly better atmosphere sure, but does it really matter here, no

Someone could easily write about how it made it more shocking and unnerving to happen in such a bright, weirdly open room
MY version of this critique would be how it was shot though. I kinda would’ve loved if they pushed the boat out and tried long ass takes with the camera panning around disturbingly like it did in the game. I also love the eerie score during that scene in the game and I felt it was missing. There was scary rumblings and noises that constantly droned in the game as the tension and bleakness rises
But I like the tv version a lot and think it works for this version of the last of us story
I’m interested to know the reactions of people who didn’t know this death was going to happen . Who itt just experienced this moment for the first time ?
was not expecting it at all
I still believe he's gonna come back to life somehow cause ain't no way they just ended Mr Fantastic
