I get Joel is the main character so it hit different and maybe Isabella is speaking on behalf of those fans who were mad?but still… this show is basically a on going cycle of justified revenge. Joel kills Abby dad, Abby kills Joel, now Ellie wants to kill Abby for killing Joel who killed her dad.
