There is more to this story. Viewership from the premiere to the finale slashed by nearly half, the reception wasn’t as strong, you even had Neil telling stories about how Pedro Pascal and him got into an argument on set over a direction he gave him with Pedro asking Neil, “do you understand art?” Haley Gross who wrote Part II with Neil and was a writer/producer on the show also left.

If Season 2 was as well received as Season 1, he’d still be working on Season 3. Come on.

Not only did Neil leave. Hailey also left. That screams creative differences. Could have to do with the reception of season 2, as craig wrote almost the entire season and Neil is unhappy in its current state. But they werent forced out.

Also neil got way too much on his plate anyways which is why he cant co-write an entire season WITH craig sadly

Neil absolutely needs to be fully focused on Intergalactic and Last of Us 3.
That said, 2nd half of Last of Us 2 is peak material. Don’t ruin it
