Playing this s*** in the dark Really was something else man lmao I was so stressed
Man I was playing on my OLED tv in the dark, and The Forest sequence with Abby had me absolutely shooked. Was in complete awe about it.
Aight, so how do you actually explain Joel giving out his name so recklessly before they clapped him? I’m willing to be swayed here but can’t really find a reasonable explanation for it.
You can say he soften up after living in Jackson for 5 years and didnt feel threatened that much to hide his identity to a bunch of young adults trynna survive
have you ever played the last of us 1....... he does the same s*** to sam and henry when they got him at gun point "im joel and thats ellie".
also its been 5 years with no sign at all the fireflies have going after him, he just saved that girls life plus she saved his, hes let his guard down as for the past 5 years all hes been doing is patrols and s***.
people saying its out of character are stupid cause he does the same s*** in the first game and be explaining the its been 5 years s*** is just icing on the cake
Oh yeah, forgot abt the Sam and Henry part. It would make sense for him to let his guard down for all those years but I was more inclined to believe he got more paranoid now that he has a place to protect.

Hell, even after Sam and Henry left their ass to die to the infected (even though they did save them from drowning later on), Joel trusted them still after the fact.

The hospital part with Abby had me in shambles the whole time.
Really hope more games in the future take risks like this and not get scared after idiots started hating on the game even before it was released.
I really hope Santa Monica does something similar to God of War sequel in terms of expanding the combat and enlarging the story/game.
But I know Cory Barlog aint a b****, so we're good

i think god of war 2 will be bigger and better but i doubt it will be this divisive among fans
my only issue with the ending is that I feel like Ellie losing her fingers was unnecessary, you could have still had the exact same ending with her leaving behind the guitar and it would have been just as powerful if not moreso, but in the grand scheme of things it's not that big a deal I guess
can't get that flash of Joel on the porch playing the guitar out my head
dude looked so at peace
Good game obviously some things I don’t like or agree with but overall still fun. Doubt it would have gotten this much hate if it didn’t basically leak early.

If anything tho, he would rather die then give out anything about the town
Honestly if anything, i would think he would become less guarded after living in solitude and routine for so long

Interesting read
Yup this was pretty much what I was saying. She is the reason this story becomes so much more than it is
After beating this, what on earth were people b****ing about from the ending? The fact that she lets her live? I'm legit confused

People were mostly just really mad about the fact they had to play as a character they hated for 10 hours and they never ended up liking her, which is fair I mean. I understood where she was coming from and I did find her story interesting, but I don’t think a game has ever made me feel as disgusted with myself as much as when I was choking Ellie to death as her.
Meanwhile when ur driving that knife into her as Ellie, I was f***ing cheering lmao.
I understood her character but I didn’t like her.
Ultimately I think it’s mostly the fact people fell in love with the central characters and couldn’t stand the angle this went with showing the cost of revenge.
I also see people b****ing about how Joel wouldn’t have given out his name like that, even tho that is blatantly wrong since he did to strangers in tlou1.
And I also saw some ppl mad that Ellie loses 2 of her fingers to Abby but nothing bad happens to Abby.

Yeah. Basically they are saying that Joel deserved much more and that Ellie went through all of this and killed everybody but in the end didn't kill the person that murdered her 'dad'.
They they Ellie was acting out of character.
These people obviously didn't understand what the story was unfolding to us as we continued playing to lead to this ending.

Why are people surprised they killed off Joel? He was barely in any of the trailers
It was obvious he was going to die as soon as they said the game was focused around Ellie.

For me I couldn't handle seeing Abby choking Ellie, and in the end couldn't put that knife into Abby (that I actually ended up killing Ellie and restarting the mission coz I stopped pressing the square button lol).
I hated Abby too, and didn't care about her enough to play as her half way through but her character arc was done perfectly that in the end I realized she had more right to kill Joel than Ellie had going around hunting her and her friends.
The Abby s***scene made absolutely no sense to throw in like that... Nigga how does that conversation lead to her taking backshots

Yeah I agree, it was still f*** Abby all the way to the end. But it's not a surprise that Ellie didn't go through with it. The whole epilogue was still nerve wracking and I didn't know for sure what was going to happen.
The game definitely has its flaws but people acting like this is the most garbage story ever made are delusional. No game is perfect.

LMAOO yeah that didn't hit for me, s*** came out of nowhere
