That’s funny because when Ellie forced Abby to fight, I really didn’t want to partake because by then, I felt Abby’s pain and how she technically lost a lot more than Ellie did. The narrative decisions that this game took (two sides to every story and going in depth with each of them) and the fact that this game made me truly empathize with a character who I didn’t like at all (both because of Joel’s death and her uninteresting personality) is why I think this game is a masterpiece.

I genuinely don’t remember the last time I played a game that had this much of an emotional impact on me beyond the story. I feel like I came out of it a slightly changed person and it’s because the message of forgiveness/empathy hit me hard. An absolutely beautiful piece of art and I’m so glad that I got a chance to experience it

When I first played Abby, those first couple of hours started to drag quite a bit TBH.

However, when it got to the Forest...... holy s*** man everything from that point on was great.

The forest might be the best ND level of all time bruh

MAN for real, but just the sequence of hitting the forest part, then the skyscraper, then the hospital, the island, and THEN you get to the theater confrontation?

At that point I was thinking to myself that Abby was more engaging then Ellie (and I loved all of Ellie's parts TBH).

i'm so glad (in the least f***ed up way possible) they killed joel early on you literally don't make anything worth talking about or important when you're creating from a place of comfort and safety. ND definitely out-did themselves with this s*** man

It’s still mind boggling to me how they made me care about Abby lmao. I literally could not wait to kill her bro lmao but that last fights scene was such a brutal mind f***. The fact that you could see the cuts forming on her body every time you landed a hit I Literally found myself hesitating to continue lmao and thinking wtf is gonna happen to lev like you can’t do this you can’t kill her f***ing brilliant

i'd be lying if i said throughout the abby gameplay sequence i didn't feel like ND was trying to justify killing joel and make me side with abby. legit throughout the entire game i didn't even give a f*** i just wanted abby to die. even during the fight with ellie in the theatre i killed myself a couple times for the satisfaction of knowing ellie killed abby

but it literally wasnt until the fight with ellie and abby at the beach that i lowkey changed sides. ellie imo turned into the villain in that moment, her putting her switchblade to lev and saying she'll kill him if abby didnt fight her had me in shambles. knowing i rooted for ellie to f*** up abby the entire game and then in the final moments switch sides and actually empathise with abby was something i truly didn't expect to happen
