In what world did Jesse have the personality of a rock?! He was hilarious. His pretending to be pissed at the start about Ellie and Dina. His 'what, Asians?' comment. His reaction to walking in on Ellie and Dina in the weed den.

I guess i'd pertain it more to his monotonous delivery, personally don't remember him showing much range or emotion in the story. Will look out on my second run.

Yeah do. I mean his scene when he berates Ellie and goes to help Tommy is great in terms of range/emotion too. Really makes you feel s***ty and selfish.

    Beautiful Morning

You can say a lot of s*** but saying Owen was a good character is when I know you’re trolling and I somehow fell for it 🤦‍♂️

TF how I am a trolling? I just beat this s***, was you playing with your eyes and ears closed? Tell me you aint bond with owen playing with Abby, and then seeing him killed by Ellie was devastating

No? Because Owen was a piece of s*** just like Abby. He constantly cheated on his pregnant girlfriend with Abby and treated Mel like s***. When I finally got the backstory with Owen I was even more happy Ellie killed him.

I think Manny was the only likeable friend of Abby. Nora was a know it all, Owen was a piece of s***, Mel was annoying, and the other two Leah and the other guy was pretty bland. I was more so hurt when got killed than f***ing trash ass Owen.

Constantly? Him and Abby hooked up once. He didn't treat Mel like s***. He was struggling with the ramifications of what they had done and questioning their conflict with the Scars.

    Said it before, great character

I genuinely could not give less of a f*** about Owens death or Abby the entire game. Yara and lev were the only ones I gave a s*** about from abbys side

I don't get how y'all still don't understand that an underlying message of the game was that in that world there are no good or bad people. The same demons haunting Ellie, our beloved protagonist and someone we bonded with in the first game were haunting Abby to get her own revenge and justice.

There’s always morality whether you like it or not through the eyes of the player.

    Said it before, great character

Once? They hooked up multiple times. She even snuck into the aquarium and forced Owen to put her name up on the score board because Owen lied and said Mel was cool with her coming over. Owen was causing confusion for how Abby should feel towards him or did you skip that part of the game?

Man what? He did treat Mel like s***.... At the start of chapter 6 we find out Mel has been depressed because Owen has been taking extra shifts and hasn't been home to Mel in weeks. Manny also mentioned and poked fun at that Abby and Owen were taking a bunch of extra patrols together and Mel found out that was the reason Abby and Mel wasn't talking before they killed Joel. This was mentioned in chapter 6.

Owen did not have conflicting feelings about the Scars. He started to become obsessed with finding the fireflies that were regrouping in Santa Barbara. He started to distance himself from the WLF because he wanted to find them. Him and Abby had an entire argument over it in chapter 7. In chapter 10 Abby even pokes fun at this in her journal that Owen was right about the Seals having spots and the Fireflies regrouping.

They hooked up once. At the end of Abby's day 1.

Mel was always somewhat concerned about the nature of having Abby around, given that Owen and her dated. Thus why Owen was hesitant to put her name on the board. Owen always loved Abby, and its likely Mel knew this. And she didnt sneak in. She went there to tell him she had a lead on Joel.

Abby and Mel were talking before they killed Joel. Mel became frosty towards Abby because she saw the way she brutally tortured him and had mixed feelings. Its mentioned how she's a doctor and not a soldier and thus not used to that kinda thing.

Owen was taking extra shifts because of the toll of that event, not because he and Abby were having a fling. Some of those patrols Abby was also on because she too was struggling with that they had done and couldnt sleep.

Owen did have conflicted feelings about the Scars, this traces back to when he and Abby first found the aquariam and read about the kids who abandoned their dad to join them. Owen mentions how they seem like cool kids and he would love to meet them, Abby says maybe you already have, and Owen says something like f*** I hope not.

And later again, when he kills Danny out on patrol, which instigates the events of Abby's day 1, we learn he couldnt bring himself to kill a Scar after realising they had spent so long dehumanising them, when in reality they were just like them.

    You'e conflating timelines.

I definitely remember the first flash back when Owen and Mel got together Abby snuck into the aquarium because Owen said it was ok. They played around and the flash back ends before we know what else happens. Mel also brought up how they were taking assignments together.

The flashback you're referring to is 4 months before the present. The aquariam is set up all Christmas-ey. Abby doesnt sneak in. Just knocks on the front door.

Owen was hesitant to let Mel know Abby was there because that was in a sense their private place and he didnt know how Mel might interpret it. There is absolutely no insinuation however, that they are hooking up. Abby mentions the lead on Joel's location and says she has to chase it and Owen agrees. Cut to black.

Abby and Owen only hookup at the end of Abbys day 1, after she leaves Lev and Yara in the trailer. Owen tells her what happened with Danny and that he plans to go to Santa Barbara. Abby is pissed at him, and they get into a fight which devolves into sex.

Manny earlier brought up that they were taking assignments together, not Mel. And Manny himself says something like 'I'm only messing with you guys' and 'oh look you're bonding already' when they both get pissed at him stirring the pot.

I wonder how a lot of yall itt would react to some of these characters and their decisions/personalities if this was a legit movie instead of a video game.

Cause Owen to me was a neglectful d***head that was ready to leave behind an entire family my g.

Or the WLF logic of having a full on pregnant woman who's water could break at any moment being put on assignments.

Or the plothole of how the f*** did Tommy survive a gunshot to the head like he was wooski fam.
