The Selena Bieber song was absolutely something that would work if Drake and Weeknd really dropped that lol. Wouldn’t be a crazy record breaking hit or anything but he drops those mid ish trap records all the time and it sounded exactly like him

As far as an independent artist making a song with AI that s*** is barely listenable. AI is mostly used to replicate artists vocals so I don't see the use case of using AI to produce beats/hooks etc.
Yeah almost every type of AI that’s popular right now is generative. You have to input something for it to learn from. And using copyrighted music as the input is always going to be illegal. So even if it’s used to create a “Metro-type beat” of “Drake-type hook” the labels are still coming after you
