I honestly don’t remember much about this game, finding out the mystery of what happened to the world was pretty interesting IIRC and the art direction in this game was pretty good. Game is a 6/10 maybe, s*** is definitely overhated though, I see a lot more hate regarding this game than praise.

Meanwhile Ghosts of Tsushima gets a lot of praise and people have actually somehow convinced themselves that Jin is an interesting character or that the story in that game was amazing

Both are the definition of mid but I think GoT gets a pass cause it's beautiful to look at and has well made cutscenes. Everyone knows it's just Assassin's Creed: Japan.

I think the game is good but is carried heavily by its gameplay. The story is pretty mid but tbh I had so much fun PLAYING the actual game that I just kept wanting to see it to the end. I don’t think the story is necessarily trash but it was just so basic and some stuff didn’t make sense at all lmao. It was Guerrilla’s first attempt at a game like this so I’ll cut them a little slack. I’m still excited for the sequel but I really hope Guerrilla was able to improve on things people have been complaining about.

I’m gonna be honest I personally believe a lot of the praise that GoT got was in spite of TLOU2. TLOU2 and Naughty Dog were getting so much hate that people automatically started sucking off GoT just to convince themselves even more that TLOU2 was trash lmao. I even saw people claiming that Sucker Punch is a top 3 game dev now like wtf LMFAO. I think GoT was a great game but it’s nowhere in the same league as TLOU2 imo.
