on ktt2, when posts like this happen.. we gotta ban these mfers. useless threads spread like wild fire. brainless op's infect others.
For the narrative black skinhead is probably the most unimportant
Kind of wanna disagree with you, but I think you’re right. I think the title is probably the most essential part of the track lol.
The most unimportant song on Yeezus doesn’t exist because Simply put, Yeezus is about Kanye disguising his vulnerability with ego and hedonism. On the first four tracks, he presents himself as a terrible person wanting only the immediate pleasures of life. Sex, d****, and revelling in fame.
On Hold My Liquor, the armor begins to crack as he drunkenly visits his ex-girlfriend’s place, completely desperate for her. This is offset by the following song in which he turns to s***to numb his pain.
Blood on the Leaves is the linchpin moment where he reveals that his anger stems from his ex leaving him for a richer man, making him feel inadequate. On Guilt Trip, he admits his own fault in the failure of the relationship.
On Send It Up, he goes back to the club, but the illusion is gone. It’s clear that this lifestyle doesn’t satisfy him. That’s when he meets Kim. On Bound 2, he gets together with Kim who helps him out of his self-destructive lifestyle.
Idk if the narrative of the album is so linear and literal. I feel like each track of Yeezus is meant to establish the universe that this Yeezus character exists in. I see it as like riding through one of those haunted houses at an amusement park. Each song exists to build the world, and bound 2 is like leaving the haunted house and seeing the outside again for the first time.
